During this holiday season, we would like to take a minute to let you know how much we appreciate your support. Your financial contributions allow IWF to work on the most pressing issues faced by Indiana’s wildlife.
Every donation helps.
As we gather with friends and family and count our blessings, we reflect on our accomplishments and look forward to new projects in the coming year.
Helped landowners, parks departments, and businesses transform over 700 acres of land to viable habitat through almost 30 Wildlife Friendly Habitat Program projects
Took our How Healthy is Indiana’s Water? forum to six towns around the state to advocate for wise landscaping practices
Educated legislators about policies beneficial to Indiana’s wildlife including Indiana Conservation Alliance’s four priorities:
State funding for Indiana Heritage Trust - $1mil requested, $100,000 approved
State funding for Clean Water Indiana – $500,000 reinstated in the budget general fund
Sustainable Natural Resources Task Force – Bill enacted
Phosphorus-free fertilizer legislation - There was no activity on the bill for 2011.
Establish more habitat across the state through the Wildlife Friendly Habitat Programs

Advocate for conservation funding priorities and key natural resource issues during next legislative session
Participate in the state Sustainable Natural Resources Task Force to evaluate Indiana’s natural resources programs and funding mechanisms
Work with state officials to support the implementation of the Great Lakes Compact
