Browning Marsh Cleanup
March 20th, 9 a.m.

Clearing and Cleanup of Woody Plants and Sign Posting at Browning Family Marsh. Trade in your snow boots for some mud boots for a springtime visit to this Boone County wetland - CILTI's newest nature preserve! It will be a great time of year to see everything starting to bud and clear out some unwanted woody plants. Browning Marsh is in our neighborhood, and many IWF Board members will be there to help out.

Environmental Habitat Steward Certificate Program

The Environmental Habitat Steward Certificate Program is designed for professionals including lanscape architects, local and regional planners, architects, engineers, contractors, and developers.  Participants will learn fundamental concepts in habitat management and current practices that can be used to preserve or enhance habitats.  After this training, participants will be able to apply environmental principles to their traditional professional methods in creative and innovative ways based on project needs. 

Four, two-weekend workshops are scheduled throughout the end of 2009 and Spring 2010.  Click here for more details about this innovative program.

Natural Areas Field Day
May 15th

Are you a landowner that wants to improve the quality of the natural habitat of your land?

Did you know that the Natural Resource Conservation Service has programs that may be able to help you pay for restoration of your lands?

Learn about ongoing efforts by conservation organizations in Tippecanoe County to pro-tect natural areas and how private lands can enhance those efforts.
